How often are my pups due?
After completing their puppy series, a distemper/parvo or bordetella vaccine should be administered every 12 months.
What does my puppy need?
We suggest that puppies receive a series of 4 distemper/parvo (DAPP) vaccines for added immunity. Vets may recommend only 3. A series should begin no less than 6 weeks of age and repeat every 2-4 weeks. If more than 4 weeks in between, we recommend you start the series over.
Bordetella should be administered if your pup will be in a pup populated area. Such as petsmart, kennels/day cares, or even vet offices.
What is bordetella?
Bordetella vaccines can protect dogs and cats from kennel cough, a highly contagious bacterial infection.
If your pup is boarded, visits with other dogs, attends day care, it is recommended to stop the spread of the virus.
