Koa

My name is Koa, the gentle giant. I am a “senior” by standards, but I really have a young soul. I am around 8 to 10 years old.

I was found as a stray in Nogales, Az where I ended up at the shelter. I survived 3 rounds of euthanasia lists. When I went to my neuter appointment, my labwork showed I am in stage 1 of Kidney Disease. Essentially what it comes down to is needing prescription food and a supplement plus access to fresh water around the clock. Aside from that I am a pretty normal dog!

I love my fluffy bed with soft blankets, I recently discovered toys, the squeakier the better! I love snuggling, giving slobbery kisses & getting belly rubs! I’ve learned how to wait for my food to be served & I am working on learning basic commands – never too old to learn tricks! I am gentle, loyal & love having human company. I prefer friendly large dogs like me or I could do perfectly fine as the only pet. I do get zoomies and like running around playing so a big yard would be amazing. I would love someone who could give me a loving furever home, I promise to make you the happiest you’ve ever been. I will be the best companion!
